MaryAnn Christison and Zuzana Tomas Recognized

Professor Maryann Christison and Linguistics Department Graduate Zuzana Tomas are being recognized for their contributions to the TESOL profession in TESOL's 50th Anniversary "Reflecting Forward" theme.

MaryAnn Christison is considered one of TESOL's "50 at 50," consisting of leaders that have made a significant contribution to the TESOL profession in the past 50 years.

"TESOL International Association congratulates these outstanding TESOL professionals! Their leadership has helped build the association and develop English language teaching and learning into a profession that touches the lives of students and educators worldwide."

Mentioned in TESOL's "30 Up and Coming," which recognizes the next generation in research, teaching, publishing, and leadership, is Zuzana Tomas, a graduate of the U's linguistics program.
