Speech Acquisition Lab members present their work at the 17th Annual Pronunciation in Second Language Learning and Teaching Conference held Sept 10-12th in Ames, Iowa!

Chalee Yates, PhD student, presented a poster titled “Lexically driven adaptation to an unfamiliar English r→l accent by L1 and L2 listeners”
Faculty Members, Shannon Barrios & Rachel Hayes-Harb, presented collaborative work with Alayo Tripp titled “Are adult language learners' pronunciation preferences influenced by the racialized appearance of their input sources?"
Rachel Hayes-Harb delivered a plenary titled “Rethinking “native speakerhood” in pronunciation research"
