The Speech Acquisition Lab is preparing for the Sound to Word in Bilingual and Second Language Speech Perception conference, which is being held April 1-2, 2016.

Cate Showalter will speak on the 'Impact of familiar and new grapheme-phoneme correspondences on English speakers learning Russian'.

Rachel Hayes-Harb will speak in a panel entitled 'The role of orthography in L2 phonological representations' on 'Orthographic input and the acquisition of an L2 phonological process: The case of native English speakers learning and German final devoicing'.

Shannon Barrios and Taylor Anne Barriuso will also be in attendance—the U will be well-represented!
